Description
Greencraft Cottage and Greencraft House are two houses that were built as one in the late 17th century. They are two storeys high with attics and feature a timber-framed and plastered construction. The roof is glazed pantiled, although it was originally thatched; the rear slope has unglazed red pantiles. There is an axial chimney made of red brick. The windows are mid-19th century small pane casements with hoodmoulds. The entrances consist of two four-panelled 19th-century doors, with the upper panels being glazed, and both doorways have hoodmoulds. A continuous rear pantiled outshut is likely a 19th-century addition. Inside, there is some typical unmoulded framing, exposed chamfered floor joists laid flat in the hall and parlour, and arch wind-braced studwork. Additionally, there is a blocked lintelled open fireplace in the hall.
