Description

Clay Cottages is a terrace of three cottages dating from the 18th century. They are one storey high with attics and are constructed from timber framing with plaster. The cottages have a pantiled roof, which was formerly plain tiled, and feature 19th-century gabled casement dormers. There are axial chimneys made of red brick from the 18th century. The windows are 19th-century or early 20th-century casements, and the entrance doors are boarded from the 19th century, with one door replaced by a 20th-century flush door. The cottages are included for their group value.
