Description

Elmswell New Hall is an early 19th-century farmhouse constructed from gault brick. It features a hipped slated roof with internal chimneys made of gault brick. The building stands two storeys tall and has five windows, which are small-pane sashes with flat arches made of gauged brick. The entrance consists of a pair of three-panelled doors, with the upper panels being fielded, and is topped by a segmental fanlight that has decorative glazing bars. A Doric portico porch enhances the entrance, supported by a pair of fluted columns that hold up a flat entablature, which is decorated with shallow paired modillions.
