Description
Ivy Cottage is a house that was originally built in the 17th century and later extended and altered in the 20th century. It features a timber frame with roughcast and has a steeply pitched thatched roof. The building consists of three cells and is one storey high with an attic. The front has two part-glazed doors and two 20th-century casement windows that are spaced unevenly. There is also a three-light dormer with eyebrow thatching and a ridge stack located to the right of the center. The left gable end shows exposed plates and purlins, while the right end has lean-to additions. At the rear left, there is an added external stack, two doors, and a dormer. The rear right features an early kitchen wing that has been raised and extended in the 20th century. Inside, there are jowled posts and cranked bracing, although much of the frame is concealed.
