Description

The well head, located about 25 meters north of Sewell House, dates from 1875 and is inscribed with 'A I 1875'. It features a steeply pitched plain-tiled roof supported by four timber posts that are chamfered and adorned with circular ornamentation. The posts are reinforced with curved tension braces at their bases and cusped arched braces connecting to the tie beams. One of the tie beams is inscribed, and both beams have ornamental spandrels beneath trefoil bases that support chamfered king posts and double struts for the rafters. Additionally, there is a timber axle with an iron handle situated between two posts on the right side.
