Description
Green Farmhouse is a former farmhouse dating from the early 17th century, with an earlier core. The building is one storey high with attics and was originally designed with a three-cell plan, to which a further cell was added in the 17th century at the west end. It is constructed of timber framing and plaster, topped with a thatched roof featuring eyebrow casement dormers. The farmhouse has an axial chimney from the early 17th century made of red brick with a sawtooth shaft, and a second axial chimney, rebuilt in the 19th century, also made of red brick. The windows are early 20th-century casements, some of which have leaded lights. There are two entrance doors made of oak, boarded and battened, with one door sheltered by a thatched porch supported by oak posts. The interior has not been examined.
