Description
Corner House is a house dating from the first half of the 17th century. It is timber framed and plastered, with a thatched roof and stands at one and a half storeys. The building has a three-cell form with a cross-entry. It features various casement windows, including one from the 19th century and two from the mid-20th century, which are standard single-pane types. There is a boarded door leading into the cross-entry and a mid-20th century glazed door to the extreme right. To the left, there are two tall eyebrow dormers with 19th-century windows. An internal stack has a rebuilt shaft, and there is a mid-20th century garage addition on the left gable end. Inside, plain studding is exposed, and the hall and parlour have axial bridging beams with plain joists set flat. A newel stair has been partly rebuilt in the mid-20th century.
