Description

Christmas Cottage is a house that likely dates back to the early 17th century. It has one storey and attics, featuring a two-cell end-chimney plan. The structure is timber framed and plastered, resting on a footing of flint and red brick. The roof is currently covered with asbestos slates, but it was once thatched, and the bargeboards display undulating soffits.

At the rear gable, there is a large external chimney made of narrow red bricks from the 17th century, while the front has an early 19th-century chimney of red brick, with the lower half painted. The cottage also includes a mid-20th-century flat-roofed casement dormer, various 20th-century casements, and a flat-roofed entrance porch made of red brick.
