Description

Lawn Cottage is a house that likely dates from the 17th century, with alterations made in the 19th century. It has one storey and attics, featuring a three-cell lobby-entrance plan and three windows. The structure is timber-framed but is encased in mid-19th century red brick. The roof is glazed pantiles, which was once thatched, and there is an axial chimney with its shaft rebuilt in 19th century red brick. The cottage includes 19th century raking casement dormers and 19th century three-light small-pane casements with cambered heads. Additionally, there is a 20th century gabled entrance porch with a boarded and battened door.
