Description
Elm Green Farmhouse is a former farmhouse, likely dating from the 16th or 17th century. It is two storeys high and has a three-cell plan with a lobby entrance. The building is timber-framed, with the front elevation covered in early 19th-century red brick, while the rest is plastered. It features a hipped roof covered with plain tiles and has an axial chimney, with the shaft rebuilt in 19th-century red brick. The windows are early 19th-century small-pane sashes, with those on the ground floor having flat arches made of gauged brick. The lobby entrance includes a 19th-century six-panelled door, with the upper panels being glazed and surrounded by a fluted architrave with paterae. The interior has not been examined.
