Description

The Glebe is a house, likely built in 1611, as indicated by the date on the chimney. It features a two-cell lobby-entrance plan and stands two storeys high. The structure is timber-framed and plastered, with a concrete tiled roof that was originally plain tiled. A central axial chimney made of narrow red brick has a sawtooth shaft, and the date 1611 is displayed in wrought iron numerals at its base. The windows are 3-light aluminium casements installed in 1986, with transoms on the ground floor. There is a gabled two-storey entrance porch, probably added in the 19th century, which includes lobed bargeboards and a spike finial. The entrance door from the 19th century has two narrow panels and nailhead ornament.
