Description

This is a former 16th-century farmhouse, renovated in the mid-20th century. The building is timber-framed and rendered, with the facade and right gable end finished in roughcast. It has a roof of interlocking concrete pantiles. The farmhouse is two storeys and an attic, with a three-cell layout. It features three windows with mid-20th century casements. A mid-20th century gabled porch with a panelled door forms the lobby entrance. An internal stack has a mid-20th century shaft. The interior has been modernised, but retains intact studding on the upper floor. A cambered tie beam is above the hall chamber, and the hall joists are chamfered, transitioning to plain joists at the service end, with the partition between these two rooms having been removed. The roof structure includes a single row of clasped purlins and partial cranked wind bracing. A newel staircase is also present.
