Description

Francis Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the 17th century or earlier. It features an AT-plan layout, with both ranges consisting of two cells. The lower range is possibly of earlier origin and has two storeys, while the crosswing also has two storeys with attics. The building is timber-framed and plastered, with a concrete tiled roof that was once thatched. There is a central 17th-century chimney made of red brick in both ranges. The windows are 20th-century casements. The entrance is a hipped-roof porch from the 20th century, covered in pantiles, and has a boarded door. The interior has not been examined.
