Description
Tween is a house located on Church Walk in Rattlesden, likely dating from the 16th or 17th century, with a facade added in the late 19th century. Originally a hall range, it was subdivided in the 19th century into at least four tenements. The house is timber-framed and encased in late 19th-century red brick, featuring quoins made of gault brick. It has a plaintiled roof with a central 17th-century chimney made of red brick on the right side and a 19th-century chimney on the left. The building has two storeys and two windows, which are small-paned plastic casements from around 1986 set in 19th-century openings. The entrance door is a plastic half-glazed type. The interior has not been examined. Tween is included for its group value.
