Description

Church View is a house and shop/office with a core dating back to the 16th and 17th centuries, significantly altered in the 18th and 19th centuries. The house has a timber-framed structure with a plastered front, and a shallow-pitched slated roof. It features a paired bracketed eaves cornice. The building is two storeys high with an attic. The upper floor has a range of four 18th-century mullion and transom casement windows. On the ground floor is an early 19th-century splayed shop window of six lights, a 19th-century doorway with a frieze and cornice, and a four-panel door with glazed lower panels. A late 19th-century shop front is set forward on the right-hand side. The building is included in the list for its group value.
