Description
Corner Farmhouse is a farmhouse dated 1558, located in Weybread. It features a timber-framed core that is mostly encased in red brick, although the left gable end and part of the rear are still plastered. The roof is covered with glazed black pantiles and the building has two storeys with a three-cell form. There are three windows, which are three-light casements with 20th-century square-leaded glass and segmental arches. A small gabled porch has paired glazed doors and a glazed gable. Inside, there is an internal stack with a shaft that has been rebuilt in yellow brick. To the left, there is a 20th-century addition with a stepped parapet. The first-floor rooms showcase good exposed timbering, and the original paired service doorways have 4-centre arched heads. Additionally, there is a 19th-century straight stair that has been tunnelled through the stack.
