Description

The limekiln, located approximately 80 metres southeast of Limekiln House, dates from the late 18th century to early 19th century. It features a brick retaining wall at the front of the bank, which has a 1724 datestone that has been reset above a segmental-arched doorway. Inside, there is an annular brick-lined chamber where burnt lime was drawn through four chutes.
