Description
This is a barn located 60 meters south west of The Brooklands, dating from the late 16th century. It is constructed with a timber frame and weatherboarding, and the roof is covered with corrugated iron sheeting. The barn has four bays, and its frame is largely intact, featuring a middle rail and arched corner bracing. Some of the original daub infilling remains. The north bay was originally separated and floored over for use as stables and a hay loft, and it includes one diamond-mullioned window along with evidence of others, as well as the original doorway. The roof is intact, supported by two rows of butt purlins and arched wind braces. The Brooklands itself is not listed.
