Description
Manor Farmhouse is a 16th-century farmhouse that was extended slightly to the left for service use in the 19th century. It is constructed with a timber frame and plaster, featuring colourwashed brick in the extension. The roof is tiled with plain tiles at the front and pantiles at the rear. The building has two storeys and follows a three-cell, lobby entry layout. It has four mid-20th century casement windows. There is a gabled plastered entrance porch, although the original doorway has been removed and replaced with a window. Inside, there is an internal stack with an inset oblong panel at the base, while the upper part of the stack dates from the 19th century. There is also a gable stack to the left and a mid-20th century door at the rear. The interior has been modernised, concealing much of the original structure, but features a heavy bridging beam with a barred stop-chamfer and one bay of chamfered joists in the hall.
