Description

This is a former early 17th century farmhouse, built in at least two phases, with extensive mid-20th century renovations. It consists of a long, four-room main range with a central rear wing. The house is timber-framed and plastered, with a roof covered in concrete pantiles. It has two storeys and an attic. Windows are largely from the mid-20th century, with a mullion and transom design and square-leaded glass. A two-story, gabled entrance addition, dated to the mid-20th century, has a battened plank door set in the center.

Inside, a central internal stack has been entirely rebuilt in the mid-20th century with grouped square flues arranged in a diamond pattern. A 19th-century gable stack on the right has a mid-20th century replacement shaft. The left gable end retains an ovolo-moulded tie beam and original brackets on the ends of the wallplates. A late 17th century dormer to the rear features an enriched lintol. The interior has been significantly altered, and the original rear wall is largely removed. Remaining features include ovolo floor beams, plain joists, deep bridging beams on the first floor, and a butt purlin roof.
