Description

DEBENHAM HIGH STREET (east side) TM 16 SE 6/87 No.19 (Broadway House) 9.12.55 (formerly listed as Holmland)

GV II

House. Early C17 core, mid C18 facade. Timber framed, roughcast-rendered, plaintiled roof. 2 storeys and attic. 3-bay facade with 16-paned sash windows. Central doorway has Doric doorcase with reeded pilasters, triglyph frieze and segmental pediment with mutules. 6-panel raised and fielded door, the upper 2 panels glazed. Central gabled dormer with 2-light casement window. Gabled wing at rear with some old panelled plasterwork. Interior not examined.
