Description

Nos 40 and 42 on Bolton Lane are a small 17th century timber-framed and plastered cottage. The building has two storeys and features a two-window range with casement windows that have glazing bars in the upper storey. The upper storey displays remnants of panel pargetting and is marked with the date 1667 at the center of the front. The ground storey has been extended with brick, which is now painted. The roofs are tiled. Nos 40 to 44 (even) are part of a group.
