Description

No 6 Silent Street is an early 19th century red brick building featuring a plain stucco parapet, which originally had a cornice. The building is two storeys high and has a three-window range, with double-hung sash windows that include glazing bars. The outer windows are three-light with narrow sidelights. Each window is adorned with stucco pilasters and lintels, although the original cornices have been removed. The entrance boasts a central six-panel door topped by a semi-circular fanlight, framed by a stucco doorcase supported by plain Corinthian columns and a cornice. Inside, there is a notable early 19th century staircase.
