Description
39 St Nicholas Street is a small building dating from the late 18th century or early 19th century, constructed of red brick. It features a stucco balustraded parapet and a moulded brick string course. This building was likely originally part of a 17th-century range of timber-framed and plastered houses that included Nos 25 to 39 (odd). The structure has two storeys and a two-window range, with double-hung sashes that have single vertical glazing bars. The ground floor has a 20th-century shop front, with a 19th-century iron guard rail above the fascia. The roof is tiled. Nos 19 to 47 (odd) form a group with Nos 1 to 9 (odd) on Silent Street.
