Description
The Holywells Park Orangery is a late 19th-century structure located in Ipswich. It features a rendered and colorwashed brick plinth with a glass roof. The west side has a range of seven windows, with the three central bays projecting as a gabled transept. This area is accessed through a central pair of 20th-century glazed doors, flanked by one sash window with margin lights on either side. The gabled roof includes a traceried glazed tympanum. The east side does not have a transept or entrance. A boiler room with a flue is attached to the south gable, while the north gable, made of rendered brick, has a 20th-century glazed door. The orangery has a gabled roof. Inside, there are two rows of round cast-iron columns that support wrought-iron scrolled braces and beams.
