Description

Cliff Cottage is part of Tolly Cobbold's brewery premises and is a timber-framed and plastered building, likely dating from the 16th to 17th century, but it was refronted in the mid to late 19th century. The cottage has two storeys and attics, with a cross wing at the north end that features a jettied upper storey, and part of the main block is also jettied. The windows are 19th-century lattice leaded casements with pointed arched heads and square label moulds. The roof is tiled and includes a large square end chimney stack and one gabled dormer. The eaves of the main block and the hood over the doorway are supported by old brackets that are carved with figures.
