Description
South Green House is a house from the early 19th century that has undergone some alterations in the 20th century. It is constructed of red brick with a gault-brick front and features a wrought-iron balcony. The roof is hipped and covered with slate, with brick stacks on the side slopes.
The exterior has two storeys and a four-window front. The left bay projects as a porch, which has a six-panel front door beneath a geometric overlight and a gauged skewback arch. On the first floor, there is a glazed sunroom fitted with horned sashes that have glazing bars arranged in various patterns. The other windows are 6/6 unhorned sashes, also under gauged skewback arches, with the windows to the right of the porch on the first floor featuring a cantilevered balcony. The interior has not been inspected.
