Description

This is an early 17th-century building with later alterations, located on the west side of Market Hill. The rear of the building is timber-framed and plastered, while the front has been rendered with roughcast and covered with slate tiles. A distinctive three-light, splayed oriel window is present on the first floor. A modern shop front has been installed. Inside, the interior features cased beams. The building retains its original position within the historic Market area and contributes to the group value of the listed buildings fronting Market Hill, particularly in relation to The Shire Hall.
