Description
Red House Farmhouse is a farmhouse with a core dating from the 17th century, with the rear range being the older part. The facade was updated in the early 19th century, and the attic floor may have been added at that time. The building is constructed of red brick and features black pantiles on the roof slope facing the front, with red pantiles on the remaining slopes. It has two storeys and an attic, with a symmetrical facade that includes five windows arranged in a 2:1:2 pattern. The windows are sashes with glazing bars and flat brick arches, with inset frames on the ground floor and flush frames on the first floor. The doorway is inset and features a modern six-panel door, with the upper four panels being glazed. It has a segmental fanlight with glazing bars, panelled reveals, reeded pilasters, and a flat hood with modillions. The eaves are wide and panelled, overhanging the building.
