Description

Rookery Cottages is a former farmhouse that has been converted into three cottages. It likely dates from the early 17th century, with a 19th-century lean-to extension at the rear. The building has an L-shaped plan and features timber framing with plaster, along with colourwashed brick casing on the two gable ends. The roof is covered with black pantiles. The front wing is single storey with an attic, while the rear wing has two storeys. There are 19th and 20th-century casement windows, a shallow-pedimented dormer on the front wing, and doors with four-panel and six-panel designs, including a boarded door at the rear. The front wing has an external stack, while the rear wing has internal and gable end stacks.
