Description

Keepers Cottage is a gamekeeper's lodge associated with Cockfield Hall, built around 1835. The cottage is constructed of red brick and features a thatched roof. It is a single-storey building designed in the Cottage Ornee style. The front has two windows, each with two-light casements that have four-centre arches and Y tracery. There is a central doorway with a four-centre arched boarded door. The entrance front has a broad overhanging gable supported by four 'rustic' timber columns. The gable end is plastered and includes applied rustic timbering, which features a recessed three-light dummy window. The roof is hipped, and there is an internal stack.
