Description

This is a barn located 30 meters north of Lower Green Farmhouse, dating from the late 17th century. It is constructed from timber framing and weatherboarding, topped with a thatched roof. The barn has three bays and features a central porch on the east side. The timber frame is largely intact and includes a middle rail at the gable ends. The two open trusses have only one arched brace remaining. The roof structure consists of clasped and butt purlins, with arched wind-bracing in between.
