Description

Baytree Cottage is a house likely dating from the 16th century. The differing roof levels on either side of the central stack suggest two separate construction phases. It is timber-framed with plaster infill and has a thatched roof. The house is single-storey with an attic. It has three windows, comprising 2-light and 3-light casements, and an asymmetrical doorway with a 6-panel raised and fielded door. There is one eyebrow dormer window. An internal stack serves the fireplace. A small addition, dating to approximately 1983, is set back on the left-hand side.
