Description

Fir Tree Cottage is a cottage dating from the early 17th century. It is timber framed, primarily covered in roughcast render, and features a thatched roof. The building has two storeys and a two-cell plan. There are two windows on the front; the ground floor has three 19th-century casements, while the first floor includes one 18th-century casement with some early diamond leaded glass and one original four-light diamond mullion window. The entrance is a lobby with a boarded door. Inside, there is an internal stack and a timber framed service range at the rear. The interior showcases some exposed timber framing and a well-preserved original newel staircase.
