Description

Churchfield Cottage is a house that was once divided into cottages, dating from the late 16th century to early 17th century. It features a timber frame, primarily covered in roughcast render, with a half-hipped thatched roof. The building has two storeys and three windows, which include various 19th and 20th-century casements. There is an internal stack and a boarded half-door located at the rear (north) of the property. Attached to the west end is a mid-19th-century cottage made of colourwashed brick with a pantiled roof. The interior has been modernised but retains some attractive exposed timbering and the original newel stairs.
