Description

Townley House, located at Nos 32 and 34 Cumberland Street, was built in the late 18th century. The house is constructed of red brick with a band below the parapet featuring sunk panels, and has a stone cope. It has a tile roof. The facade has seven windows, which are sash windows with exposed frames and flat arches. The central window in No. 32 is arched with radial bars, key blocks, and springing blocks. No. 32 features a six-panel bolection moulded door set within a wooden case, with fluted Corinthian pilasters, a moulded architrave, and a dentil and modillion pediment. No. 34 has a six-panel door with fluted Doric pilasters and a pedimented entablature.
