The Cottage is a late 18th century, two-storey building constructed of red brick with a tiled roof. It features three casement windows and a brick porch that leads to a two-panel door, topped by an oblong fanlight with glazing bars. There is a modern wing added to the left side of the building. The property is also referred to as No 38 (The Cottage).
