Description

The walling to the north and west of Cockfield Hall Gatehouse is a Grade II listed structure that encloses an irregularly shaped garden area between the north wing of Cockfield Hall and the gatehouse. The majority of the wall dates from the mid-16th century, with some sections heightened in the 18th or early 19th century. The western section of the wall is entirely from the 18th to 19th centuries. It is constructed of red brick with brick copings, and features some dark headers in the eastern section. The wall stands between 2.5 and 3 meters high.
