Description

The Dovecote at Cockfield Hall is a mid-19th century structure. It is built from red brick and covered with plain tiles, featuring an octagonal shape. The dovecote has brick buttresses at each angle, topped with moulded brick pinnacles, and a crenellated parapet. There are two slatted openings on opposite sides and a boarded door. At the top of the roof, there is a small octagonal timber turret. Inside, the dovecote contains 13 tiers of brick nesting holes and a working potence.
