Description

No. 44 Brook Street is an 18th-century building of red brick with a slate roof. It is three storeys high and originally had one window, with a two-storey wing extending to the right, featuring a single window and a separate arched entrance. The windows are sash windows within flush frames, with stucco lintels and decorative keys. The arched entrance has a six-panel door and a plastered tympanum within a reeded frame. A small-paned shop window is present in the wing, although it is no longer in use as a shop. Nos. 22 to 44 (even) create a group of buildings of moderate architectural quality.
