Description
Hill Cottage is a house built in the late 18th century or early 19th century, designed in the Gothick style. The main facade faces the garden and features a timber-framed structure with roughcast exterior. It has a hipped thatched roof with an internal chimney made of red brick. A striking central bow extends full height and has a segmental shape, with the roof sloping out to cover it. There are three windows in the bow, with an additional window on each side. All the windows have steeply pointed heads, including a pair of small-pane casements and a fixed light above with Y-form glazing bars. The central entrance door has a glazed upper panel with curved bars and two central panels that are also glazed.
