Description

Home Farmhouse is a 16th-century farmhouse with later additions, situated in Parham North Green. The building has an L-shaped plan, with a service wing to the rear. It is timber-framed and plastered, with the rear wing partly cased in colourwashed brick. The roof is plaintiled, except for the rear wing which has a pantiled roof. The main range is two storeys and has a three-cell plan with the right-hand end having a higher eaves level, possibly indicating a later addition. It has a four-window range, predominantly featuring 3-light casement windows. There are two doorways: a 6-panel raised and fielded door with glazed upper panels and a bracketed gabled hood on the left-hand side, and a 6-panel door with a small hood on the right-hand side. An internal stack is present. The rear wing was originally a detached building.
