Description
Shingle Hall is a farmhouse dating from the early 17th century, with a later cross-wing. It is timber framed and plastered, topped with a pantiled roof. The building has two storeys and an attic, featuring a three-cell main range with a lower cross-wing that is set forward to the left. There is also a gabled addition at the rear. The windows are mid-20th century casements with large panes. The lobby entrance has an early 19th century reeded architrave with corner roundels and a mid-20th century glazed door. Inside, there is an internal stack with flues arranged in a sawtooth pattern. The right gable end displays a moulded tie beam supported by four shaped brackets, and part of the cross-wing has some exposed timbers. The interior has not been inspected.
