Description

The White House is an early 19th-century house located in South Elmham. It is two storeys high and built of white brick, with a shallow-pitched slate roof and narrow eaves. The house features two chimney stacks with plain shafts on the rear roof slope. The central front portion projects slightly, and there are plain full-height pilasters at the corners. The facade has three small-paned sash windows with cased frames, deep reveals, and flat arches. The central doorway has a double semi-circular arched surround, a recessed six-panel door with raised fielded panels, and a fanlight with radiating glazing bars. The building is included on the list for its group value.
