Description
20A Market Hill is a building from 1852 located on the north side of Market Hill. It is a two-storey structure with a triple-gabled front, featuring a timber frame that is plastered to resemble ashlar. The first floor overhangs, and there are early three-gable windows with mullion transom casements, except for the center which has a sash window. There is an additional sash window on the left, and all sash windows have glazing bars. The ground floor has shop fronts, with Nos 18 and 20 being early 19th century, No 20A being modern, and No 24 featuring an early 19th century splay bay. No 22, originally a shop, is now a residence. All listed buildings in Market Hill are part of a group surrounding the Shire Hall.
