Description

This is a barn located to the north-east of Box Farmhouse, dating from the early 17th century. It is constructed from timber framing and is covered with weatherboarding and clay pantiles. The barn consists of three bays, featuring an entry in the central bay. Inside, there are arched braces supporting the trusses, and the roof includes windbraces and two rows of butt purlins. There is a small extension on the north side with a lower roofline, as well as a lean-to on the east side. This barn is included for its group value with the nearby farmhouse.
