Description
Office Farm House is a former farmhouse dating from the 15th century, with later alterations and additions. It features a timber-framed and plastered structure, with plain tiles on the front and pantiles at the rear. The building is a single storey with an attic and was originally an open hall house, with the service end located on the left side.
The house has a four-window range with mid-20th century casements and a mid-20th century door on the left side. There are four gabled dormers, each with three-light small pane windows, and two internal stacks. Inside, the house retains exposed timbering, and the original doorway to the cross passage is still present at the front, although it is now blocked. A notable feature is the fine octagonal crown post, which has a moulded and embattled base and cap. The roof of the building is largely from the 20th century.
