Description

Brook Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the 16th century, with the right-hand end likely being a later addition. There is also an 18th-century brick wing at the rear. The building is timber framed and plastered, topped with a plain tiled roof. It has two storeys and an attic, featuring a four-window range with three-light large pane casements and blind boxes on the ground floor windows. The entrance is a lobby with a six-panel raised and fielded door, where the upper two panels are glazed, accompanied by a narrow frieze and pediment. The eaves cornice has a plaster cove, and there are two internal stacks. Inside, there is a 16th-century oak partition with vertical panels and chamfered styles.
