Description

Forge Cottage is a house dating from the 16th century. It is timber framed and plastered, with the plaster designed to imitate ashlar. The roof is covered with pantiles. The building has a single storey and an attic, featuring a three-window range with two-light mullion and transom casements. There is a cross passage entry that includes a mid-20th century porch and door, as well as one catslide dormer and an internal stack. Inside, the cottage has exposed timbering, some original internal doors, and newel stairs.
