Description

Former malting, dating from the 17th century and converted into four cottages around 1860. The building has an L-shaped plan, with a return range on the right-hand side. It is timber-framed and has roughcast render on the front, though the rear is plastered. The roof is a mix of pantiled and plaintiled sections. There are six windows, with sash windows containing glazing bars in flush frames; one mid-20th century casement window is present in a matching style. Four 19th- and 20th-century doors are visible. Mid-19th century white brick stacks are also present. The building is included on the list for its group value.
